Preheat the oil to 180°C/350°F.
Thinly slice the potatoes and pat them dry.

Deep fry the potato slices, I suggest doing it in batches because they burn easily.
Deep fry for around 1 minute per batch or until they look golden brown.

Place them on a plate lined with paper towel.
While they're still a bit oily, sprinkle on the salt or the smoked paprika.
You can use any spice you like! It's your party :)
